Luton Town striker Danny Hylton has confirmed he made a successful return from injury during a behind-closed-doors encounter with a Chinese Super League team on Wednesday.

Hylton has not played a competitive match for the Hatters since lining up against Doncaster Rovers in March 2019, but it now appears he is edging closer to making a full return from his knee injury which has kept him out for around 10 months.

The London-born frontman has netted a total of 58 goals in his 118 appearances for Luton, and the Kenilworth Road outfit have struggled without his talismanic services this campaign, with Graeme Jones' side languishing at the bottom of the Championship.

However, it now seems that Hylton could still play a part in the second half of the season for the Hatters, while the Championship strugglers have also received a further boost with the news that Chelsea loanee Izzy Brown also made his comeback in the match.
