A disappointing 2-2 draw with Rotherham United continued Sheffield Wednesday's dismal run of form last weekend, leaving them with just one win in their last nine games.

They now sit just six points above Reading, who currently occupy the final relegation spot, and Jos Luhukay will be starting to look nervously over his shoulder.

But, they were handed a much-needed boost on Monday afternoon when long-term injury concern Keiren Westwood made his return to action in an under-23 fixture against Crewe Alexandra.

The match finished 2-2 and the Irishman will now have his sights set on a first first-team appearance since a year ago.

Since joining the club in, the 34-year-old has made 144 appearances, keeping 52 clean sheets.

So, as the pressure begins to mount on manager Luhukay, this is a bit of news that should put a smile on the faces of the Owls' fans.
