‘Brilliant’, ‘Love it’ – Plenty of Leeds United fans react to West Brom’s misfortune

Leeds United are top of the Championship table heading into the weekend, after Wigan Athletic shared a point with promotion-chasing West Brom on Wednesday evening.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side returned to the summit on Tuesday after a convincing 2-0 win over Hull City at Elland Road, but a win for the Baggies would have moved the Whites back into second.

But Wigan held their nerve on Wednesday, as they earned a hard-fought point to keep Leeds top of the table heading into the potentially season-defining festive period.

The Latics took the lead on the night through a Sam Johnstone own goal, but a bizarre equaliser from Charlie Austin saw the Baggies earn a point to stay in touch with Leeds.
