Brighton seemingly looked destined for a place in the top-flight as they fight toe-to-toe with Newcastle United for the Sky Bet Championship trophy.

The Seagulls sit in 2nd place in the Championship – just one point behind the Toon and have a six point gap from 3rd place Huddersfield Town.

Manager Chris Hughton will have one eye on preparations for the summer, but with just eight games left, his main priority will be ensuring that his side push over the promotion line.

Brighton have never appeared in the Premier League in his existence and they will certainly need to bolster their squad if they have any chance of staying up.

There are plenty of top-flight clubs with players looking to play regularly and Brighton will look to exploit that. One club, which possesses one of the largest squads in England is Chelsea, who also send a large amount of their fringe/emerging talents on loan to other clubs.

FLW writer, Ashley Williams identifies TWO Chelsea wonderkids the Seagulls should look to sign in the summer..

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

The English under-21 international has been on the brink of pushing into the Chelsea first-team, but due to the considerable form of N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic, Loftus-Cheek has had to spend most of this season on the bench.

There is no doubt that the midfielder will be one of England’s stars of the future, as we witnessed his dazzling display against Denmark under 21’s scoring a brace.

Brighton should certainly muscle their way in for the England under-21 international who could be a great acquisition for the South Coast club.

Tammy Abraham

After Abraham’s brilliant season on loan with Bristol City, it is a given that top-flight clubs will be interested in the young striker.

Similar to Loftus-Cheek, he is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in the country after netting 22 goals in 40 appearances for the Robins.

Abraham clearly has what it takes to be one of the best Championship strikers, but he may want to test himself in the top-flight.

Brighton could develop his ability as a footballer even further and could be the man to keep them up if they are promoted to the Premier League.
