Brighton should sign this £3.23m-rated left-back for their PL campaign

Brighton and Hove Albion are Premier League bound and the celebrations have taken place.

With just one league game left, Brighton can either win the league or finish second but either way they have booked their place in next year’s Premier League.

After Sunday’s trip to Aston Villa, Brighton will have to start looking at summer transfer targets.

They need to add a few quality players to their ranks in order to survive in the top flight.

One position that Brighton will definitely be looking at improving is their options at full back.

They need to bring in at least one new addition in both the right back and the left back slots.

Their current left back options are Gaetan Bong and Sebastien Pocognoli but the latter is only on loan from West Brom and is unlikely to return.

To replace Pocognoli, Brighton should look at his fellow Belgian countryman Jordan Lukaku.

Jordan Lukaku has spent the year at Lazio, where has made 19 appearances but has not established himself as a regular.

To maintain his place in the national team, the Belgian international left back probably needs more regular playing time so a loan or permanent move to Brighton could boost his career.

Jordan is the brother of Everton striker Romelu and has similar physical traits; he is quick and strong.

Also able to operate at left midfield, the 22-year-old would be a shrewd addition for Chris Hughton, with transfermarkt valuing him at £3.23m.

With left back on Hughton’s list of priorities, Lukaku perfectly fits the bill.
