Brighton have started to really get going now this season with 7 wins in their last 9 games propelling them into the automatic promotion places.

Brighton have a squad laden with talent starting with the foundation of currently having the strongest defence in the league with the partnership of centre-halves Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk.

In central midfield Beram Kayal, Steve Sidwell, Dale Stephens and Oliver Norwood gives them an abundance of quality options that can contribute to attack and defence.

They have excellent options on the wing as well with Anthony Knockaert and Jiri Skalak both joining on permanent deals after impressing last season where Brighton narrowly missed out on automatic promotion.

Brighton look even stronger than last season and may be Newcastle's closest challengers for the title - they do score considerably less goals but their 5-0 thrashing of Norwich last week showed they can also score with ease.

Glenn Murray who joined in the summer scored a brace and may provide the key to promotion this season.

Here are 2 Italians they could add in the winter.

Paolo De Ceglie

The Juventus full back has slowly fallen out of favour in Turin having made 100 appearances in 7 seasons at the club.

The left back hasn't played this season and spent last season on loan at Marseille where his chances were limited as well.

He has experience at the very top level in the Champions League and would be a good addition for Brighton who suffered for options a bit last season when Gaetan Bong succumbed to injury.

Luigi Sepe

The Napoli goalkeeper is majorly out of favour at Napoli with the 25-year-old making only 1 appearance since 2009 and he is limited to cup competitions.

He is unlikely to usurp Pepe Reina anytime soon but he does have plenty of Serie A experience from spells with Empoli and Fiorentina.

Stockdale is a solid keeper for Brighton but back-up is poor so Sepe will give him competition for his place.
