With three games to spare, Brighton secured promotion to the Premier League, sealing their fate with a 2-1 home victory over Wigan.

Chris Hughton masterminded a remarkable achievement for Brighton, as finally, they secured top-flight football, after falling at the final hurdle so many times.

Brighton were in the top two for most of the season, pushing Newcastle all the way, but they ultimately fell short in their quest for the title.

Hughton has built up a very strong side at the Amex, but this hasn't happened overnight, and this has been a continuous process for the last two seasons, with Hughton utilising the transfer window very well.

There is no doubt that if Brighton are to keep their heads above water next season, they need to recruit smartly over the summer, although Tony Bloom has said that they wont be spending bundles of money.

One man who they could sign, most likely on loan, but he would certainly be within their parameters, is Danny Ings.

The Liverpool forward sustained a nasty injury back in October, just after returning from an ACL, and he has his eyes firmly fixed on a summer return.

Jurgen Klopp isn't short of striking options, and he could look to loan Ings out as he continues his quest to get back to full fitness.

The Liverpool boss did the same with Jon Flanagan this season, and I would imagine loan Ings too.

Brighton are blessed with a few striking options, but Ings has proved in the past that he can do it in the Premier League, which none of Brighton's other strikers really have.

Ings netted 11 goals for Burnley in their Premier League campaign, and if he could do the same for Brighton, then you would back them to survive.
