Brighton finally achieved their long-term goal of achieving promotion to the Premier League this season, meaning the Seagulls will need to make some improvements to their squad over the summer.

Chris Hughton has built one of the leagues strongest sides at the Amex, on what in comparison to some of the Championship's 'super powers', is a shoestring budget.

However, now the Seagulls are a top-flight side, that shoestring budget has to be stretched, and increased to a sizeable amount if Brighton are to be in with a fighting chance of securing safety.

Brighton chairman, Tony Bloom, has already stated that Brighton's summer war-chest won't be huge, as they adopt a similar mentality that Burnley used two years ago.

The Seagulls take quite a strong squad to the Premier League, but it definitely needs to be strengthened to ensure Brighton have the best possible chance of survival.

One player who would add some real firepower the Brighton attack, is former star, Leonardo Ulloa.

The Argentine is well out of favour at the King Power, and he looked to force a move away in January, but that never materialised, but this summer is likely to spell the end of his Leicester career.

Brighton must be the team there to snap him up and bring him back to the Amex.

£5.1m-rated Ulloa, knows where the net is, but also, and arguably more importantly, he has a wealth of Premier League experience and knows what it takes to survive.

In his first Leicester season, Ulloa was the Foxes main source of goals, as he notched up 11 goals in his maiden Premier League season.

If Brighton could get the Argentine back in the starting 11 and help him to rediscover that form, they could have a great player on their hands.

For all the newly promoted teams, it is important that you have a talisman up front who will score you goals, and at the moment, Brighton don't really have one, but Ulloa could be that man.
