Amid doubts about his long term future with West Bromwich Albion, Sebastien Pocognoli has told The Argus that he is not thinking about that while he focuses on winning promotion with his loan club Brighton and Hove Albion, reports The Argus.

Sebastien Pocognoli's contract with Premier League outfit West Brom expires at the end of the 2016/17 season which would make him a free agent in the summer.

However, the Belgian left back is insisting that he is not concerned by his contract situation with the Baggies as he concentrates on trying to win promotion with Brighton at the weekend.

The Seagulls have a commanding twelve point lead over third placed Huddersfield Town going into Friday's games and they could clinch promotion on that day.

If Huddersfield lose at home to Preston at 3pm and then Brighton beat Wolves at Molineux in the 5pm kick off, Chris Hughton's side will secure promotion.

29-year-old Pocognoli also refused to rule out a permanent move to Brighton.

Seb Pocognoli revealed:

“I’m not really looking at that at the moment.

"I want to try and finish the season as well as I can here and to be champions, to go away with a good feeling.

“After that it’s up to the club to decide.

"I’m a free agent and we will see, but I’m very happy here.

"The team is so incredible and it’s a nice club.”
