Brighton forward targeting January transfer away from the club

According to The Argus, Elvis Manu wants to leave Brighton & Hove Albion in the January transfer window.

Despite signing for Brighton back in 2015, Manu is still yet to make a league start for the Seagulls. The Dutchman has made just 14 appearances for Brighton, 3 of which have come in the League Cup.

So far in 2016/17, he has made 2 league appearances, as well as playing in all three of Brighton’s League Cup matches, scoring twice, against Colchester United and Oxford. The 23-year-old has also featured for Brighton Under-23s in the EFL Trophy, in a 2-2 draw at Stevenage.

Last season, Elvis Manu went on loan to fellow Championship side Huddersfield, but wasn’t too successful in Yorkshire either, making just 5 appearances for the Terriers.

Earlier on in his career Manu played in his home country Holland, spending 5 years at Feyenoord before departing for Brighton in 2015.

In his time with Feyenoord, he scored 11 goals in 39 first team games, as well as having a loan spell at Camburr FC, where he bagged 5 goals in 15 league outings.

Brighton fans… Does Elvis Manu deserve more game time, or should he move on? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
