Brighton & Hove Albion are interested in signing Norwich City defender Russell Martin, according to HITC.
With star centre-back Lewis Dunk attracting interest from both the Premier League and the Championship, Chris Hughton seems to be eyeing Martin as a potential replacement.
The two know each other well from Hughton’s time as Norwich boss, where the 57-year old made him club captain.
However, Alex Neil won’t want to let such a key player move to a promotion rival; Martin made 30 appearances for the Canaries in the top flight last term, getting on the scoresheet three times too.
The 30-year old signed for Norwich in January 2010, and has since gone on to make 261 appearances for the side.
One thing that Hughton will like about Martin is his versatility, he proved last season that he can play at both centre-back and right-back.
He has also done it before, winning promotion to the Premier League with Norwich in 2011 and 2015.
Norwich fans, what do you think? Would your chances of promotion be blown should Brighton move for Martin?
