Queens Park Rangers have one major concern heading into the January transfer window and it surrounds the future of Bright Osayi-Samuel.

For a long time now, speculation has surrounded the future of the winger, who has been stalling on signing a new deal in West London.

At the other side of Queens Park Rangers' hectic festive period is the January transfer window and, no doubt, more speculation surrounding Osayi-Samuel.

Back in the summer, you couldn't get away from the fact that clubs were circling the winger, with Club Brugge failing to land his signature.

On the back of that transfer breaking down, talks between QPR and Osayi-Samuel have been back and forth over a new deal.

However, as we sit here in mid-December, nothing has been agreed and the winger's contract will be expiring when the summer comes around.

The issue for QPR is that two clubs heavily linked - Celtic and Rangers - can wrap up pre-contract agreements with Osayi-Samuel shortly as his contract enters its final six months.

Despite the ongoing speculation and uncertainty surrounding his future, Mark Warburton continues to keep faith with the 22-year-old.

He's made 17 appearances in the Championship this season, scoring two goals and registering a couple of assists alongside that.

QPR have been inconsistent and it's fair to say that Osayi-Samuel has as well. However, with doubt continuing to linger around his future in West London ahead of January, it is perhaps understandable.

One way or another, January should give us a clear answer of what the future holds for Osayi-Samuel.
