Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba has revealed what he admires most about Reds boss Sabri Lamouchi.

The 25-year-old became one of Lamouchi's final signings of the summer, and soon became a regular ahead of Aro Muric after a couple of shaky performances from the Manchester City loanee.

Samba has since established himself as Forest's first-choice goalkeeper, keeping 14 clean sheets across a total of 35 appearances in all competitions and becoming a real fans' favourite at the City Ground.

Forest continue to push for promotion in the Championship under Lamouchi, after what has been a terrific campaign under the Frenchman thus far.

Lamouchi has quickly become a popular figure amongst Forest fans, and his post-match comments after a 3-0 defeat to Millwall highlight what an honest manager he is.

Lamouchi's honesty is something that Samba admires, as the goalkeeper has recently revealed.

Via Nottinghamshire Live, he said: "It has been very good. I really like the way he does his job because he is a good leader and is very honest. He goes straight to the point and I really appreciate that.

"As a player, that is really good and I am enjoying working with him. He does a lot of work with us and in the training sessions in the week, he always teaches us how we are going to play in the next match."

Forest take on a struggling Sheffield Wednesday side at Hillsborough next weekend, and will be eager to cement their place in the top-six after winning only one of their last six games.

Lamouchi's men sit fifth in the Championship, 10 points off the automatic promotion places and five points clear of seventh.

The Verdict

Lamouchi speaks a good game and he doesn't ever shy away when his side deserve criticism, which is something that Forest fans admire most about him.

The job he has done so far this season as the Championship is a really tough league and he has never managed in England before.

If Forest do not go up this year, then you would expect Lamouchi to strengthen his squad and ignite another push for promotion next term.
