Brice Samba has reacted after a Nottingham Forest supporter poked fun at the goalkeeper, amid the club's latest coronavirus update.

There was worry yesterday after Reds owner, Evangelos Marinakis, confirmed via his official Instagram page that he has the virus.

Marinakis' update came only a few days after he visited the City Ground to meet up with the players, before witnessing their 3-0 defeat to Millwall on Friday night.

The players, staff and officers have since been tested for the virus, and the club have now confirmed that all results have thankfully come back negative.

A stressful couple of days for the club nonetheless, then, and fans had plenty of things to say over the last two days.

One fan on Twitter - @IlkestonIsGod - poked fun at Samba, criticising the Congolese shot-stopper's ability to catch crosses in the process.

Samba has since responded to the supporter, seemingly in high spirits, by posting three laughing emojis in reply to his tweet.

Forest will now be looking to put this behind them as they look to get back to winning ways in the Championship - Sabri Lamouchi's side sit fifth in the Championship and face Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.

The Verdict

Samba is a fans' favourite at Forest and it's tweets like this that show why.

He's a comical character both on and off the pitch and he often engages with fans on social media, which makes him a fans' favourite.

His form his dipped slightly since the start of the season, but there can be no denying that he is a very good goalkeeper at this level.
