Brewster starts: The predicted Sheffield United XI to face Derby on Saturday

Their fixtures since the international break may have been favourable, but Sheffield United have taken advantage of that by picking up seven points out of a possible nine in their last three Championship outings.

It will have given Slavisa Jokanovic some comfort to see his side smash six goals past a hapless Peterborough United almost two weeks ago and even though they couldn’t follow it up with another win against Preston North End, Hull City were dispatched of in the following game.

The Serb was able to ring the changes for the Carabao Cup encounter with Southampton in midweek which resulted in elimination from the competition, but the performance will have given him some food for thought when it comes to selecting a team to face Derby County tomorrow – let’s see what he may line up like.

Sheffield United won 6+ Premier League games last season.

There seems little reason to change the winning line-up that faced Hull last weekend, even though Sander Berge was set to be in that team only to pull out with a last-minute injury.

The Norwegian doesn’t seem likely to make it for this particular game, and both Oliver Burke and Luke Freeman are struggling with knocks picked up against Southampton, so Jokanovic’s selection looks pretty simple.

One potential conundrum is the lone striker spot, with Oli McBurnie playing his way into contention after scoring against the Saints in the Cup, but Billy Sharp has done nothing wrong to lose his place in the league.

Similarly Rhys Norrington-Davies has been solid enough at left-back, but it will be tough to leave out the more experienced Enda Stevens who has just returned from injury.

Jokanovic can also show faith in Rhian Brewster, who is yet to score a league goal for the Blades but is coming closer to getting off the mark and this weekend could be the time for him to notch.
