Does anyone know if Brentford actually have enough players to field a squad for the remainder of the season?

The club, who currently sit on the same amount of points as bottom of the table Bolton, have let a lot of key players go during this summer's transfer window.

Jota, Harlee Dean, and Maxime Colin to name a few and they have all gone to Harry Redknapp's Birmingham!

The Spanish winger, arguably one of the Championship's best players, has been sold for just £6.5 million and been replaced by Emiliano Marcondes, an unproven player at this level and someone who won't be joining until January.

It just seems strange to most of us here at FLW that a club who are already in a significant amount of trouble in the league this season, would go ahead and sell some of their best players.

Come to the conclusion of the international break, the Bees have a tough away fixture at Villa Park against Steve Bruce's Aston Villa side.

Although they haven't had the best start to the season, it's better than Brentford's and the Villains have actually brought in some good players to cover their outgoings of which there haven't been a large amount of.

Many clubs nowadays can be accused of selling their success.

What is it called when a club sells all their best player's when they are bottom of the table without a win?

Dean Smith will have a serious amount of explaining to do if his new signings don't help Brentford's position in the league and could face the sack before he gets the chance to resolve the issues in the January transfer market.
