Brentford look set to win the race to sign Leicester City centre-back Liam Moore on loan, according to West London Sport.
FLW reported the news last week that Watford and Brentford were eyeing a move for the Premier League defender, and it now looks like the Bee’s will seal a deal for the 22-year-old.
Moore has struggled to become a frequent starter under Nigel Pearson at the King Power Stadium, and subsequently looks set for a move to Mark Warburton’s Championship outfit.
The Bee’s currently sit just outside the top six in the Sky Bet Championship in seventh place, and lie just one point from sixth placed Watford.
The addition of Moore to Brentford could help add an element of experience and steel that could help aid their promotion push.
The Premier League centre-back has already had one loan spell at the London club in 2013, where he went on to make seven appearances for the club.
Moore did also have a loan spell at League One outfit Bradford City, where he amassed a total of 17 appearances.
Moore is renowned for his versatility and can operate as centre-back or right-back, so he could turn out to be a beneficial addition to Warburton’s side.
