Brentford are set to swoop for FC Twente midfielder, Kemohelo Mokotjo, according to HITC.
The Bees are keen on signing the South African midfielder, following today’s appointment of Marinus Dijkhuizen as head coach.
The combative midfielder enjoyed a successful season with PEC Zwolle before earning a move to Twente last summer, but he has failed to live up to expectations during the 2014/15 season, and is now seeking a move away from the club.
He made 41 appearances during the campaign but had minimal impact on the Eredivisie despite high hopes upon his initial signing.
Despite an ordinary season the player is still considered a bright prospect and the right club could help him get his stop-start career back on track.
One thing that could be in Bees favour is the fact that the Dutch club need to sell in order to strengthen financially which means they could get Mokotjo on the cheap.
The 24-year-old is high on the list of targets of the Bees new boss and he has also been capped twice by South Africa.
Bees fans… Would you fancy the club taking a chance on Mokotjo?
