The 22-year-old has 14 in goals in all competitions this season, and has scored an impressive total of 38 career goals, a sizeable amount of goals for a striker of his age.

Bees boss Mark Warburton has only two fit forwards available in his squad, and is keen to add more goals to his side, with Djuricin just one of the names on his list.

The Bees are just one of many clubs interested in Djuricin, who is in the last year of his contract at current club Sturm Graz.

He started in the youth set up at German club Hertha Berlin, and joined Sturm Graz eighteen months ago and is currently an Austrian under-21 international.

Brentford are flying in the Championship after gaining promotion from League One. They amassed 94 points, winning 28 games.

They're currently in sixth place in the Championship on four points, and lost 2-1 to Wolves in their last league game, a goal from Nouha Dicko and an own goal from James Tarkowski dooming the Bees to defeat, before another own goal from Danny Batth gave Brentford some hope.

After the game, manager Mark Warburton told the BBC: "You don't mind mistakes - because you learn from them - or outstanding quality, but the guy is three yards offside.

"I appreciate we have the luxury of seeing replays but you can't make mistakes like that at this level. We looked dangerous and and I am staggered we have come away with nothing."

Brentford certainly have a great chance of attaining promotion to the Barclays Premier League if they carry on their excellent league form, however the issue is whether the Bees can maintain the form until the end of the league season.

The signing of Djuricin could help enhance their chances of achieving what would be a remarkable back to back promotion.
