Brentford's Said Benrahma has stated that there is even higher levels for him to hit in the coming months.

The Bees had a rather inconsistent start to the season, but in recent weeks they've picked up a bit of form and comfortably beat Swansea 3-0 at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.

Benrahma had been ruled out with an injury for part of the campaign, but has since come back and is now starting to perform like he was last season, with some brilliant cameos.

Brentford have a crucial derby clash coming up on Monday night against an in-form QPR side. A win for either side could be a massive step in the race for a top six finish.

Benrahma has expressed his belief to become better and has thanked Thomas Frank for the trust that he's put into him.

Speaking to the club's official website, Benrahma said: “The confidence is coming back and I feel I have even higher levels to hit. In Thomas [Frank], I have a Head Coach who I really get on with. He gives me all of his trust and that is really good for me. I want to give my 100 per cent for him because he does everything he can to help me.”

The Verdict

Benrahma was simply sensational last season, and he's been getting better and better slowly throughout this campaign.

We all know he's got the quality, and that also saw him linked with a move to the Premier League over the summer, but it failed to materialise. His attacking play, skills and vision is all to be admired and he's one of the Championship's best players.

If he can get better, and Brentford can carry on this good form then Benrahma is going to be key if they're to have any chance of breaking into that top six and having a real go at a potential place in the Premier League.
