Brentford manager Thomas Frank has provided a fresh injury update two days before the Bees host Millwall in a London derby that is sure to be an interesting encounter.

Thomas Frank confirmed in his press conference that Spanish winger Sergi Canos and centre-back Luka Racic are the only players who have been ruled out of Saturday's game, otherwise the rest of the squad is fully fit and raring to go.

20 year-old defender Racic has only made the five appearances for Brentford since signing on the dotted line in the summer from 2018 from FC Copenhagen, while Canos is a more influential part of the first-team at Brentford, having made 11 appearances for the Bees this season and recently putting pen to paper on a new contract running until 2023.

Brentford currently sit 17th in the Championship with 11 games played, and go into Saturday's game with a 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest the last time out.

Brentford's last game at Griffin Park resulted in a 1-1 draw with high flyers Bristol City, and Brentford will continue to keep their impressive home form up, having lost just the one game on their own turf this season.

The Verdict:

With Racic not being a major part of the Brentford first team, he won't be a big loss for the side. However, Canos still is with the winger having played a pivotal role in setting up goals for the likes of centre forward Ollie Watkins this campaign.

The sooner that Canos can get back to fitness for Brentford, the better.
