Brentford have an interest in bringing Jacob Greaves to the club this summer.

According to 90min, the Hull City defender has attracted the interest of the Premier League side, with a move on the cards in the upcoming transfer window.

This could come as a potential double swoop on the Tigers, with Thomas Frank’s side also being linked with a move for Keane Lewis-Potter.

Greaves has been a central figure to Hull’s first campaign back in the Championship.

The 21-year old played every minute of their season as the team finished 19th in the table.

But a move to London could be on the cards, with the Bees said to be one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in his services.

The Englishman broke through the academy at the MKM Stadium, where he first made his name as part of the side which earned promotion from League One last season.

The defender made 39 appearances last season and became one of the side’s most important players.

His role in the team continued to grow in the second division, becoming a constant presence in the side.

Hull will be hoping for a brighter future ahead with new ownership arriving last January.

Investment could be likely this summer as the team looks to climb the table, away from any potential relegation battle next season.

The Verdict

It is likely that Hull will command quite a lofty transfer sum to part ways with Greaves given how important he is to the side.

A Premier League move would be a huge next step in his career, and Brentford would be an exciting club to develop his talents.

The team has excelled in the top flight under Frank this season and have shown a willingness to give young talent plenty of opportunities in the team.

Considering how much Greaves has impressed since breaking through then there is little doubt that he has the potential to compete in the Premier League.
