Brentford manager Thomas Frank is not hanging about in completing his summer transfer business, with the club confirming on its website the signing of Danish midfielder Christian Nørgaard from Italian club Fiorentina.

The 25-year-old former Brondby player joins the Bees on a four-year-deal after a season in Serie A, having worked with Frank at Brondby.

Nørgaard has represented Denmark from Under-16 to Under-21 level, but has yet to make a senior international appearance, but will be prove to be a good signing at the Bees?

We discuss........

George Dagless

"I'm impressed.

"Brentford have a knack of making good signings and this could be another one.

"You'd never be surprised to see him be a success given the Bees' recent track record for players joining."

George Brooks

"Norgaard is a decent player and could be a good signing for Brentford.

"He does not have any Championship experience though, so he will need to adapt to a very unforgiving league and it is a bit of a risky move for Brentford to sign him.

"He has worked with Thomas Frank before in his career though and the Brentford boss may be able to get the best out of him."

Jacob Potter

"He’s a player with real talent.

"Norgaard comes from Fiorentina who are a club with good history over in Italy.

"So I’m surprised that Brentford have managed to pull this one off if I’m honest.

"It is a gamble as he hasn’t got any experience of playing in English football, but Thomas Frank will know exactly how to get the best out of him.

"This could prove to be a shrewd bit of business by the Bees."
