Brentford fans will be thinking about their side achieving maximum points from their next three league games, with all of their upcoming opponents sitting in the bottom seven in the Championship.

The Bees sit in 9th in the table, and are on a good run of form; winning four of their last five league games, their most recent victory coming against Wigan Athletic.

The start of Brentford's season was inconsistent, but the early nerves have seemed to worn off, and they are showing the rest of the division that they are a force to be reckoned with.

Thomas Frank's first test from the set of upcoming fixtures will be against a resurgent Reading side, who are unbeaten in four games under Mark Bowen, and will hoping to pull off an unlikely win.

The last time the side from TW8 were faced with a similar test from a team near the foot of the table was against Huddersfield Town, who they succumbed 1-0 to at Griffin Park on November 2nd. That afternoon, Brentford had ten attempts on goal, but failed to score.

However, key players have begun to hit form at the right time for The Bees, and the supporters will be keen to see if Josh Dasilva and Bryan Mbeumo can replicate the performances they showed against Wigan Athletic, where they were both on the scoresheet.

Frank will also want Said Benrahma and Ollie Watkins to continue to sustain the performance levels they have shown so far for Brentford this season in the final third.

Blackburn and Luton, however, are two teams currently on poor form, with both sides each winning just one of their last five games.

On form and footballing ability, they should be wins for Brentford. But, the Championship is an unforgiving league, where teams can cause upsets regardless of form.

Overconfidence and complacency are always a risk in games where the opposition are expected to lose, so Brentford fans need to be wary.

Prior to the season beginning, Bees fans expected their team to be in the play-off mix, but that has not materialised as of yet.

The side now have a great chance to make up for lost time and assert their authority in the league if they overcome these three upcoming tests.
