Brentford have completed the loan signing of Leicester City defender Liam Moore until the end of the season, the club have confirmed.
This is the centre-back’s second spell on loan at the Bee’s and he looks set to feature in Brentford’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Birmingham City on Saturday.
Brentford currently sit just outside the top six in the Sky Bet Championship in seventh place, and lie just one point from sixth placed Watford.
The signing of Moore could help add an element of experience and know-how that could help aid their promotion push.
Brentford boss Mark Warburton spoke of his delight to the Brentford club website: “Liam is well known to us after his loan two years ago.
“He has continued his rapid development and established himself with England Under-21s.
“He has also played 11 Premier League games this season.
“Liam is a very talented young defender.
“We were very aware that we were exposed to injury and lack of cover in the central defensive position.
“Liam will be a welcome addition and adds real competition for places as we enter the final stretch of what has been a good season so far.
“Liam had other options and could have gone to other top six Championship clubs.
“We are delighted he has chosen to join us here at Brentford.”
Moore has already had one loan spell at the London club in 2013, where he went on to make seven appearances for the club, and he now re-joins for a second time.
