Brentford closing in on deal to sign 25-year-old midfielder

Brentford are closing in on the signing of PSV winger Florian Josefzoon, with the 25-year old agreeing a deal in principle and must now only complete a medical, according to West London Sport.

He is a former Netherlands U21 after coming through the esteemed Ajax academy and after an impressive spell at RKC Waalwijk he joined PSV.

He has yo-yo’d from the first team into the reserve side Jong PSV and his future at PSV looks questionable with just five Eredivisie appearances this season.

It is reported Brentford are keen for West Ham to hurry up with the Scott Hogan deal so they have some money to spend this window, with the club also interested in Norwich winger Sergi Canos who had an excellent loan spell with the Bees last season.

When signed, Josefzoon will join Henrik Johansson and Jota who returned from his loan spell at Eibar.

The Bees travel to Premier League leaders Chelsea on Saturday in the Emirates FA Cup.
