Brentford manager Dean Smith has conceded that the club are in ” a little bit in no-man’s land in the middle of the table” as we approach the closing stages of the Sky Bet Championship table, Get West London reports.
Brentford have a game in hand on most of the division, meaning they have eleven games left but they are suspended in mid-table currently.
The Bees are 12th but 15 points behind sixth place and 12 points clear of the relegation zone.
“It’s just such a tough league.
“I think everybody can beat each other on their day, what we have just got to concentrate on is ourselves, then if we go and win a few, you see where that moves you to.
“At the moment, we’re a little bit in no-man’s land in the middle of the table, but if you can go and win three games in a week it looks a little bit different.
“If you lose three, it looks different again.
“So you have just got to assess it when you’re there.”
However, Smith maintained that there was still plenty to play for this season.
