Nottingham Forest came from behind to romp their way to a 3-1 win at Barnsley last night – the first under Steve Cooper’s tutelage.
The Reds found themselves a goal down at half-time, after Cauley Woodrow had sent Brice Samba the wrong way from the penalty spot inside 19 minutes.
But Forest were by no means out of the contest, and their perseverance going forward ended up paying dividends in the end.
Philip Zinckernagel levelled the scores on the hour mark, rolling the ball into an empty net after Brennan Johnson had broke the offside trap and put the ball on a plate for the Dane.
Forest then took the lead through Johnson, who once again beat the offside trap and fired low into the bottom corner.
The Reds secured the three points late on, with Alex Mighten’s trickery seeing him weave his way into the area, crossing towards the far post where Lewis Grabban tapped in.
Joe Lolley took to Instagram after the game to express his love for Johnson, with his teammate replying with a comparison between Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole in the comments section:

The interchanging, fluid front three seemed to really work well for Forest last night.
When you have players like Johnson, Zinckernagel and Lolley who have real pace and can play on the last man, then it is frightening for the opposition.
It’s the first time Forest have come from behind to win a game since February, and Cooper’s fearlessness to change things midway through the game reaped rewards.
