McCormack has been attracting interest from many clubs since Brian McDermott left Elland Road, and it is speculated that the club who has made the bid could be Derby County or Norwich City.

The offer is understood to be under consideration as owner Massimo Cellino is out of the country until Sunday.

Cellino has reportedly already turned down one offer for the Scotsman from Newcastle, but soon after the Premier League side denied any knowledge of bidding for the striker.
