Nottingham Forest have struggled for any sort of form this season and with so much uncertainty surrounding the club, it is hard to gather any sort of momentum on the pitch.

Forest find themselves marooned in the lower embers of the table and picking up results secure their Championship status for next season is proving difficult for the Reds to do.

Gary Brazil's men haven't won in their last four games, and with Blackburn and Wigan both winning in that time frame, Forest have been sucked back into the battle to beat the drop.

Four points is the gap between them and Blackburn, but with Rovers have played a game less, that situation could soon worsen.

Brazil has a very big squad at his disposal and to get themselves out of the relegation battle, he will need to utilise everything he has.

The size of the Forest squad means that there will be certain players who are on the firnges of the squad, but that doesn't mean they can't have a huge impact on deciding if Forest stay up or not.

Here, FLW writer Chris Wilson looks at TWO Forest fringe players who Brazil should be utilising...

Aaron Tshibola

Tshibola arrived at the City Ground in the January window on loan from Aston Villa, but the 22-year-old is yet to make an impact on the Forest team.

There is no doubting Tshibola possesses the quality needed to break into the Forest team and once he gets there, you would expect he will keep his place.

Tshibola is quite a combative midfielder who can get up and down the pitch. He is willing to do the dirty work in midfield that others players won't, which is exactly what you need in a side that is fighting relegation.

Jamie Ward

Ward was instrumental for Forest after his return from Burton Albion earlier in the season, but the arrival of Zach Clough has pushed him out of the side, maybe harshly.

The Northern Ireland international has an infectious energy about him and it tends to rub off on the rest of his team mates too and his high energy becomes a theme throughout the Forest side.

Ward also has quality going forward, probably not as much as Clough, but he could definitely match Carayol on the opposite wing and his work rate probably just give him the edge over the Gambian
