Sky Bet League One side Bradford City have confirmed the appointment of Gary Bowyer as the club’s new manager, on a deal until the end of the season.
The Bantams were on the look-out for a new manager following the resignation of David Hopkin last week, with the Yorkshire club fighting for their lives at the bottom of the League One table.
Bowyer has been without a job since his departure from Blackpool at the start of this season – the 47-year old guided the Lancashire club to promotion from League Two in 2016/17, and worked wonders at Bloomfield Road despite tough ownership conditions under the Oyston family.
The former Blackburn Rovers boss has a huge task on his hands to say the least – after a 5-1 defeat to Portsmouth at the weekend, Bradford sit six points adrift of safety in League One, with a real threat of relegation to the fourth tier.
Here, we take a look at City fans’ reactions to the appointment of Bowyer at Valley Parade…
Welcome, Gary. And good luck!
