Brandon Fleming speaks out on Keane Lewis-Potter’s Hull City future amid West Ham and Brentford interest

21-year-old Keane Lewis-Potter had a strong campaign for Hull City last term as the winger made 45 league appearances, scoring 12 goals and contributing four assists to his side.

Today the youngster returns to the club for pre-season training after an extended break due to his involvement with England U21s this summer during which time he scored for the side.

The player has also been linked with a move away over the summer with West Ham and Brentford among several top-flight clubs keen on his signature.

However, defender Brandon Fleming is looking forward to the return of his teammate at Hull and is hoping they will have the chance to play together next season as he told Hull Live: “Every Hull City fan would say of course, we want to see him in a Hull City shirt.

“Personally, I think we have a great relationship on the left. He’s my best mate and I want to play with him, of course I do.

“Hopefully he stays.”

The future of the youngster at Hull remains uncertain with the level of interest in him still high especially after an impressive camp with England this summer.

The Verdict:

It’s not hard to understand why there is interest in the young player from the top flight this summer. He had a strong season in the league and performed on the stage for the England U21 team too.

Furthermore, at such a young age there is plenty of room for him to develop further making him an exciting option.

You can also see why Fleming is keen for his teammate to stay put though.

Not only do they play well together on the left hand side but with the defender expected to be used more this summer, he will be looking forward to the opportunity of playing with someone he has known since childhood.

The Tigers will be keen to keep hold of their man for another season but there has been persistent interest from the top flight so far meaning an offer could still turn their heads.
