According to the Mirror, League One play-off challengers Bradford City are keen on agreeing a deal with Nottingham Forest for Jorge Grant.

Grant has been away from Forest once again this season with him enjoying a good loan spell at Notts County in League Two.

Indeed, the Reds' city rivals are challenging for promotion partly thanks to Grant's goals and that has clearly led him to attract interest from higher up.

Whether or not the Bantams can strike a deal remains to be seen. County would obviously like to keep him whilst new Forest manager Aitor Karanka might also want to run a closer rule over Grant before deciding on his future.

We could, then, see Grant return to Forest before any permanent deal is struck but the men from Valley Parade will surely try to get something going their way with a deal.

Stuart McCall's men are well in with a chance of another play-off place this season and if they could bring in Grant and he has the same impact as he has had at Notts County, then there's no reason why they won't be challenging for a Championship berth for next season.

The Verdict

It's certainly an interesting story to follow and one that will be good to follow over the coming weeks.

Grant has done himself no harm with his performances this season and it'll be interesting to see where he ends up.
