Bradford City fans can’t hide from the fact that their beloved club are tipped among the favourites to be battling for a long-awaited promotion to the Championship.
Bantams manager Stuart McCall has widely reinforced his playing squad this summer having recruited in almost every position; from defence to attack, there does not seem to be an empty gap for the team heading in the 2017/18 campaign.
However, one position that needs another name to it is the right-back role and an ideal signing to that area of the pitch would be Reading’s young defender Tennai Watson, who continues to be overlooked at the Madejski.
The 20 year-old has made less than five senior outings for the Championship outfit and as time goes past he may become increasingly frustrated at his lack of minutes under Jaap Stam, and make the switch to League One.
Watson penned a two-year deal last summer so Bradford City would be better off making a loan proposition and judge how the prospective youngster develops at Valley Parade.
Whilst this is most certainly not an urgent acquisition that needs to be made before the summer transfer window shuts, it would be a wise move by McCall to at least register his interest in Tennai Watson.
If the talented defender then impresses the Bantams on and off the pitch then there is no reason as to why he can’t become a permanent figure in the starting eleven at Valley Parade.
