Bradford City weighing up summer transfer deal for Newcastle man

According to the Coventry Telegraph, Bradford City are set to be among the clubs looking to sign Newcastle United’s Adam Armstrong during the summer, with the striker set to leave St James’ Park on-loan.

Stuart McCall attempted to take Armstrong to Valley Parade on-loan last summer, but the striker instead moved to the Sky Bet Championship with Barnsley, where he scored six goals for the Tykes.

The 20-year old is not expected to feature in Rafa Benitez’s Premier League plan for Newcastle, with another loan move on the horizon.

Bradford are set to renew their interest in the striker, and could stand a better chance of securing his services this year, with a real possibility that they will be playing Championship football.

The Bantams secured their place in the League One play-off final, after a 1-0 aggregate victory over Fleetwood Town last week and will now face Millwall at Wembley on May 20th for a place in the Championship.
