Bradford City are looking to be efficient with their movement in the January transfer window, with the Bantams plotting their path up the league ladder in League Two.

It's been a tough old season in West Yorkshire so far, but there's been signs of life in the Bantams lately and things do have a more positive outlook at the moment.

There's work to be done in the January transfer window, though.

Plenty has been done so far, which leads us nicely into this transfer round-up.

We start you off with an incoming over the last few days...

Niall Canavan

Canavan has signed an 18-month deal at Valley Parade, returning to West Yorkshire after a spell with Plymouth Argyle.

The 29-year-old is a promotion-winner in League Two, but now cuts ties with Plymouth and returns closer to home, having grown up in Leeds.

Austin Samuels

Canavan's arrival has coincided with Samuels departing Bradford.

The striker was only on loan with the club from Wolves, but has now returned to Molineux after Bradford opted to trigger the clause in his loan that allowed them to send him back.

Samuels scored once in 14 appearances.

Ryan Edmondson

With Samuels out, Bradford had been linked with a move to sign Edmondson on loan from Leeds United.

The 19-year-old is back at Elland Road after a loan spell with Aberdeen ended.

However, he's unlikely to be making the move to Valley Parade despite Bradford's interest.

Jamie Raynor at the BBC reports how Northampton Town are in for Edmondson and are offering him League One football.
