Stuart McCall is facing a busy summer at Valley Parade, as he tries to rebuild his Bradford City squad ahead of another push for promotion in Sky Bet League One, after many high-profile departures following the club’s failure to reach the Championship.

James Meredith, Mark Marshall, Rory McArdle and Billy Clarke headline the players who have left Valley Parade already this summer, and McCall will now be tasked with replacing these players with quality ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.

A mixture of permanent transfers and loans are likely to take place over the summer, and one player McCall could look to take to Valley Parade is Leeds United’s Lewie Coyle, who is in desperate need of a loan move away from Elland Road.

Coyle has fantastic potential, yet despite spending two full seasons around the first-team in Leeds, the 21-year old has made just 23 senior appearances.

The right-back is again expected to find opportunities limited at Elland Road next season, with Luke Ayling and Gaetano Berardi likely to compete for the right-back berth in Thomas Christiansen’s starting XI.

Leeds will not want to lose Coyle permanently this summer, but may seek to send him out on-loan in order to give him some much-needed first-team experience.

Bradford should look to make a move for Coyle early this summer, with the promise to Leeds that he will gain first-team experience across West Yorkshire.

Should Coyle make the move to Bradford, it could prove to be an excellent move for all parties involved.

One of Leeds’ biggest talents would be gaining first-team experience, whilst Coyle would also be given the chance to show his parent-club he is ready for more of an opportunity at Elland Road.

Perhaps the party that will benefit the most is Bradford, who would be getting the service of a player that has a massive future in the game and someone who could certainly fill the gap left by others this summer.
