Bradford City are set to receive around £250k from Liverpool this summer, should the Reds opt to sell Andre Wisdom in the coming months, reports the Telegraph and Argus.

Liverpool are set to offload Wisdom this summer, with the defender not featuring in Jurgen Klopp’s plans at Anfield, having made his last senior appearance for the club in 2013.

The Reds are hopeful of receiving £2m for the 24-year old defender, and should Liverpool secure their desired transfer-fee, Bradford will be entitled to £250k from a sell-on clause, having let Wisdom leave Valley Parade for Anfield in 2008.

Derby County are interested in signing the Liverpool defender, and have reportedly had a £1m bid rejected by the Premier League side, who are standing firm over their £2m valuation of the player – although the Rams are understood to be readying a second offer.

Should Wisdom leave Anfield and Bradford receive their windfall it will be the second occasion the Bantams have benefited from a former player this summer.

Following Huddersfield Town’s promotion to the Premier League, Bradford received add-ons from the sale of Nahki Wells, who opted to quit Valley Parade in January 2014 and link-up with the Terriers.

Bradford are currently preparing for another campaign in League One next year, following a play-off final defeat to Millwall last month.
