Bradford City are reportedly favourites to sign Doncaster Rovers forward Omar Bogle, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Bogle has been with Donny since January 2021, and has scored two goals in 21 appearances, but it seems as though his time at the Keepmoat Stadium is set to reach an early conclusion.

The forward was absent from Doncaster's squad in their recent goalless draw with promotion-chasing Portsmouth at the weekend.

Doncaster Rovers boss Richie Wellens has recently revealed that Bogle has been given permission to speak to another club over a potential move, and it seems as though that could be the League Two outfit.

A move to Valley Parade with Bradford City could be a tempting proposition for Bogle, with the Bantams in contention to challenge for promotion into League One this season.

Derek Adams' side are currently sat second in the League Two table after their opening four matches, and they'll be keen to build on some impressive showings in the fourth-tier.

They most recently beat Mansfield Town 3-2, in a closely-fought battle between both teams, as the Bantams sent out a real statement of intent to the rest of their promotion rivals this term.

Bradford City are set to return to action at the weekend, when they take on Leyton Orient, in what could potentially be a tricky test for the Bantams at The Breyer Group Stadium.

The Verdict:

This could turn out to be a smart bit of business by Bradford City this summer.

Bogle has featured for Doncaster Rovers in League One this season, and it would be somewhat of a coup for the Bantams if they were to land his signature for the 2021/22 campaign.

Derek Adams already has some strong options in attack this season, but strength in depth could certainly be useful heading into hectic periods of the 2021/22 season.

It's a serious statement of intent about Bradford City's ambitions to win promotion back into League One this season, and Bogle could turn out to be the missing piece in their promotion jigsaw.
