According to the Telegraph and Argus, Bradford City are set to receive £250,000 in add-ons from the transfer of Nahki Wells, should Huddersfield Town achieve promotion to the Premier League.
After an impressive season in the Sky Bet Championship, Wells and Town begin their play-off campaign on Sunday, when they welcome Sheffield Wednesday to the John Smith’s Stadium.
Wells has impressed for David Wagner’s Terriers, featuring on 44 occasions and scoring ten goals across the season.
Town signed Wells from Bradford in January 2014, for an initial fee of £1.3m, which has risen by £325,000 in recent years due to goal and appearance bonuses.
The windfall from Huddersfield’s potential promotion to the Premier League will leave Bradford’s supporters keeping a watchful eye on events in the Championship’s play-offs.
However, Stuart McCall’s side are also battling for promotion back to the Championship, where they have not featured since 2004.
Following a semi-final victory over Fleetwood Town, Bradford are just 90-minutes away from securing Championship football next season, and will meet Millwall in the League One play-off final on May 20th.
