Bradford City have confirmed that three players will be leaving Valley Parade this summer, but also announced that six of Stuart McCall’s squad have been offered new contracts, including player of the year, Mark Marshall.

Marshall’s contract with the Bantams was set to expire this summer, but Bradford have offered the 30-year-old a new contract following an impressive season in Sky Bet League One, which saw him help McCall’s side reach the play-off final.

James Meredith, Rory McArdle, Matthew Kilgallon, Rouven Sattelmaier and Tony McMahon are the other five players to be offered new contracts by the West Yorkshire outfit.

Stephen Darby headlines the list of players released by Bradford this summer, with the defender ending a five-year association with the Bantams, who he has made 239 appearances for since his arrival in 2012.

The 28-year old featured in Bradford’s promotion season in League Two, whilst also playing a significant role in the club’s run to the League Cup final in 2013.

Joe Cracknell and James King also become free agents this summer, whilst Jordy Hiwula is one of five players to return to their parent-clubs following loan deals at Valley Parade.

Alex Gilliead, Josh Cullen, Kevin Toner and Matthew Penney are the others.
