Bradford City's all-time goalscorer Bobby Campbell and his wife Paula are accused of a £16.000 fraud at their former employer Lindley WMC, a pub in Huddersfield.

The  couple face three charges of "fraud by abuse of position", according to the Huddersfield Daily Examiner. The abuse allegedly took place between December 2011 and December 2012.  In court both pleaded not guilty and Mr. Campbell told the magistrates "their powers were not sufficient to deal with the matter". The amount of money involved is reportedly between £16.000 and £17.000.

Campell played for several clubs on different levels of the English football pyramid; among others, both Aston Villa, Wigan, Huddersfield, Sheffield United, Halifax and Derby enjoyed his striking service, although he made the most impact at Bradford City. The 57-year-old is the Bantams' top goalscorer to this day, with 143 goals to his name.

The Northern Irishman picked up two caps for his country during his professional career between 1974 and '88.
