Dominic Poleon has taken to his personal Twitter account to deliver a message following Bradford City’s defeat to Fleetwood Town last night.

Poleon admitted that Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat was gutting, but the striker remained insistent that Bradford would bounce back from their latest setback.

Second-half goals from Jordy Hiwula, Devante Cole and Ashley Hunter handed Fleetwood an impressive victory at Valley Parade, as Uwe Rosler’s side narrowed the gap on the Sky Bet League One top-six.

Reflecting on a difficult evening, Poleon, who was introduced as a late substitute, said: “Gutted tonight but we go again Saturday and put it right!”

Poleon has been key to Bradford’s early season form, with the striker already scoring four goals across all competitions, since linking up with the Bantams over the summer.

The 24-year-old’s goals have helped Stuart McCall’s side into a strong position after 10 league fixtures, with Bradford currently sitting fourth, just two points behind Wigan Athletic in second.

Last night’s defeat ended a seven match unbeaten run across all competitions, and McCall will be looking to help his side return to winning ways this coming weekend, when Bradford welcome Doncaster Rovers to Valley Parade on Saturday afternoon.

The Verdict

Last night’s heavy defeat will have been frustrating for everybody associated with Bradford, but Valley Parade will expect to see a reaction from McCall’s side when they return on Saturday.

Despite last night’s result, Bradford have had an excellent start to the season, and look like a team ready to once again challenge for a place in the Championship.

McCall has always managed to help his side bounce back from a defeat, and Saturday should be no different.
