AFC Bournemouth have made a second bid for Coventry City striker Callum Wilson, Sky Sports understands.
As reported yesterday on Football League World, the Sky Blues had rejected seven-figure bids for the striker from Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Bournemouth are understood to have Wilson their top transfer target after losing their star striker Lewis Grabban to Norwich City.
The 22-year-old progressed through the Coventry youth ranks to make his debut in August 2009 and was the club’s top scorer last season with 21 goals.
Wilson was League One’s third-top scorer last season and was named on the League One PFA Team of the Year.
He also won the Coventry City Top Goalscorer award, the Player’s Player of the Year award, and the fans Player of the Year.
