Leeds United threw away a three-goal lead against Cardiff City this afternoon and missed out on going to the top of the Championship as a result.

The Whites dropped to second in the table after West Brom's win at Birmingham earlier in the day but it appeared as though they would cruise back to the top after goals from Helder Costa and Patrick Bamford in the first eight minutes.

When the striker added a third for Leeds, from the penalty spot, in the 52nd minute, a home win seemed inevitable.

Yet, a goal from Lee Tomlin on the hour mark gave the Bluebirds hope and a nervy finish was in store after Sean Morrison made it 3-2 with eight to play.

However, all hope appeared to have disappeared when the Cardiff centre-back was sent off but they incredibly completed the comeback when Robert Glatzel equalised for the ten men.

As you would expect, Leeds fans were furious with the way the team fell apart, even though they are ten points ahead of third.
