Birmingham City's three-game unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship came to an abrupt end in the second city derby, with rivals Aston Villa earning bragging rights with a comfortable 2-0 win over the Blues.

The result leaves Steve Cotterill's side just two points above the Championship's relegation zone and their second tier status still remains firmly in the balance.

It had looked as though the Blues had turned a corner in recent weeks but this latest setback leaves the club with work to do if they are to pull clear of their rivals in the battle to avoid the drop.

Goals from Albert Adomah and Conor Hourihane condemned the Blues to their 17th defeat of the campaign, with only Burton Albion and Nottingham Forest losing more times than Cotterill's side.

Birmingham fans are not a happy bunch just now and Football League World writer Lee Clarke was on hand to round up all of their gripes from  the world of Twitter following the defeat...
