Tranmere Rovers have announced that their game against Premier League side Watford in the FA Cup has been postponed to a waterlogged pitch.
The game had originally been due to take place on Tuesday evening, after both sides played out a hugely entertaining 3-3 draw at Vicarage Road.
Watford raced into a three-goal lead courtesy of goals from Tom Dele-Bashiru, Nathaniel Chalobah and Roberto Pereyra, but the third tier outfit struck back in the second-half.
Connor Jennings, Manny Monthe and Paul Mullin all found the back of the Watford net to force a replay at Prenton Park which has since been postponed.
Watford are next in action at the weekend when they take on Tottenham Hotspur, whilst Tranmere can turn their attentions to taking on Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Plenty of Tranmere and Watford supporters took to social media to react to this frustrating announcement on Tuesday.

Fair play for the efforts but we were always fighting a losing battle. Pitch should of never got this bad, only got ourselves to blame if we miss out on a payday. #NonLeague

Not surprised. Been hammering down with rain all morning in the North West.

Just ask the FA if we can forfeit the match. We were sending up a youth team and we don’t need the distraction anyway!

Can we just give them their home tie against man united lads?
