Lowton impressed current Villa boss Paul Lambert when he first took over but the full back fell out with his manager last season and it seems like Villa are willing to let him leave on loan.

The dispute with Lambert and Lowton occurred after the full back was supposedly late to training in January.

Lowton, who can play all across the back line, signed for Aston Villa from Sheffield  United in 2012.

Between 2007-12 Lowton made 78 league appearances for the Blades scoring a pretty impressive 10 goals.

He has also had spells at Sheffield FC, the oldest club in the world, and Hungarian giants Ferencváros on loan whilst at Sheffield United.
