It's been reported that Middlesbrough are taking Birmingham City and four of their coaching staff to court in the summer.

Garry Monk, of course, joined the Blues a couple of months after being sacked at Boro and duly took a number of his staff with him.

James Beattie, Sean Rush, Ryan Needs and Darryl Flahavan all left Boro for the Blues in due course, too, but, according to Boro they should not have linked up with Monk - as per the Teesside Gazette:

Boro allege that in the contracts of the quartet it was stated they could not work again with Monk or each other for another club in the event of leaving Teesside until the last days of December this year.

Clearly, then, there are some decisions to be made in court during the summer to see if a flouting of contracts did occur but, whilst we wait to see what happens there, let's take a look at what various fans have said in response to this...
