Leeds United have received a boost with the news that Luke Ayling has travelled with the squad for the game with Norwich City this weekend.

A tweet from Yorkshire Post and Leeds United reporter Phil Hay revealed that Ayling had indeed travelled with the squad after missing plenty of the campaign through injury, while youngster Ryan Edmondson was also in the photo with Ayling.

The news will be a big boost for Leeds manager Paul Heckingbottom, who will be keen to see Ayling in action after not being able to select him since taking over the reins at Elland Road in January.

Ayling had previously become a key man and fan favourite with Leeds fans before picking up his injury, and was a regular under former manager Thomas Christiansen.

While Leeds' season has peetered out into nothing once again, the Whites fans will no doubt be delighted to see Ayling returning and back to fitness ahead of the end of the season, meaning he will be able to complete a full pre season and be raring to go next August.

A win against the Canaries would round off the season nicely, with Heckingbottom keen to see his team go into the summer with confidence.

Leeds fans, good news? Nice to see Ayling back? Let us know in the comments!
